Pedestal Table

Has anyone had a problem with the pedestal table detaching from the slide out? We traveled from MA to PA on Dr 84 and 81 which are pretty rough and when we got to our Harvest Host the table had pulled out of the floor. This is the second time we’ve had this problem. The plywood they use on the slide floor is 1/4”.

This is a simple fix, remove the existing course thread screws then use a 3/8" spade bit to drill four additional holes (8 total) and reinstall using medium thread screws. Grind the tip of each screw to prevent damage to the flooring material, predrill and after installation use a paint marker to stain the inside of the drilled holes to match.

Are you sure your floor is 1/4 inch? Mine is 5/8 and is solid as a rock after 3 years and some pretty rough roads. I have even moved the table twice.

Re checked Floor is 5/8” the problem is with the screws that won’t hold. We will replace screws that will bite better. Why do they mount the pedestal on blocks? We took them off to make it less rocky.

Had the same problem when I picked up my 36ck2 from Couch's and drove the 700 miles to long island. Parts of the nj turnpike and the cross bronx expwy. are brutal. Got home and opened up the camper and the table was laying on the chair with the mounting screws pulled out. I put bigger screws in with silicone on the threads. Will see if it holds.

That's the right thing to do, forgot to tell you that we did the same. Seems to be more stable without them.
