Phone jack in 2015 Silverback 29IK?

We have the 2015 Silverback 29IK (early model). Must have been the last one built on a Friday before a holiday weekend as we have had MANY issues with it. The latest is that we want to install a phone jack to get internet. The specs say it was prewired for phone but we can’t find anywhere, inside or out, that indicates any prewiring. Did find a flat plate behind couch and got all excited. Turns out they apparently were using it to cover an accidental hole in the wall! No wiring there. Can anybody give me direction on finding the prewiring for the phone or are we missing it? I wouldn’t be surprised.

I found this in the specs of the 2015 Silverback 29IK

Prewiring

Air Conditioning Prewiring Yes
Cable Prewiring Yes
Phone Prewiring No

So, I don't think you are going to find it.

I remember my grandparents having a phone in their trailer on a seasonal site in the late 80's/early 90's. I don't know how it was wired in though.

I don't remember ever seeing a trailer (especially a newer one like a 2015) with a built-in phone jack though.

Thanks for the reply. I made the mistake of looking in rvusa.com and forestriverrvsource.com. They both said there was prewiring for phone. But I believe you! Otherwise we should have found it.

My 2007 Rockwood Roo had phone jacks but my 2016 PrimeTime TT doesn't.
I think they stopped including them, at least 10 years ago.

WOW ! I've had TT's since 1984 and never had one with a phone jack. Guess I wasn't special enough.

As a retired Southwestern Bell guy in Rio Grande Valley on the southern Texas border, before cell phones, in the 70s,80s, and even in the 90s, landlines in RVs were very common. After installing and servicing hundreds of wires and jacks in travel trailers, 5th wheels, and motor homes; it was very very rare to see an RV with prewired connections. A lot of the mobile homes were prewired but RVs were not. Yes, those were the good ol days for sure. In 2015 I can't see a phone jack being prewired; but, I could be wrong.
Not sure if you are needing a phone jack with 2 wires (RJ11C) or an ethernet jack with 8 wires (RJ45). Either way, shouldn't be too difficult to put in with some basic skills.

My 2011 has no phone. This is where custom fabrication comes in. I have never seen this kind of hook up at a site. Is this for while you are home? I know it is more costly but what about a hot spot.

A RJ11 phone jack won't do you any good anyway.
You need a RJ45 jack for Ethernet. Different animal.

2017 Silverback 29IK has cable connections in the basement by the utility connections and tank valve handles. Hook up a modem(and cable company box) to the cable connection inside and you have wireless internet. Unless you are still using an very old computer, then you may need to upgrade a little. Telephone modems are extremely sloooooooooow.

Was about to make the same comment. Just install what you want/need yourself or have it done. Are you able to hard wire the internet via a router and modem? If so the jack is on the modem. At our house we're on cable modem so the exterior connection is regular coax, then the modem connects to the router and you plug into the router.
