Putty smears at interior staples

We have a 2020 Hathaway Edition 5th wheel.. Instead of using color matched fasteners to attach the wall and ceiling panels, they puttied every one. Badly. When you look down the walls and ceilings it looks like someone put putty on the palm of their hand and went ...staple...smear, staple, smear.
Dealer says every brand looks like that. I think he thinks we are stupid. Its our 4th trailer plus 2 diesel pusher motorhomes. We've never seen a putty smear.
Does yours look like that? Thanks!

Not the same RV but mine is the same. It would have been less noticeable had they just left the tack heads alone.

We have had this issue on each trailer weíve owned. I used paper towel to rub most of mine off.

Same way on ours. It's just sloppy application. I suggest wiping off the excess putty.

With what? It doesn't wipe off. And the dealer says there is no chemical that will dissolve the putty and not damage the walls and ceilings?

Most RVs have this putty over staples that was just smeared on. On our current RV, you can only see it at certain angles.
You get used to it. And if you can't look past it, do like my friend, and paint the walls

Putty sloppy cleaning

Hay give it a little wipe up with a rag and WD 40. Used it for years!

I had the same issue with our Rockwood Mini Lite. It was easier to take care it myself rather than have the dealer fix. I just cleaned it off with an old terrycloth towel and some elbow grease.

It probably looks OK when leaving the factory but after time passes and dust sticks to it the look gets more nasty.

Mineral spirits or citrus based Goof Off works if necessary.

1 Sportsmen, 3 Montana's, and now a CC Silverback ... all fivers had the putty smears if you looked just right say sideways to the walls. It grows on you after a while or ... the smears just got lost in my attention span ... I don't know which answer solved my attention to the smears.

Yeppers same thing on our trailer. Wife thought I was seeing things that weren't there.
Lots of time spent going over all panels. If you can't see it, you sure can feel it when rubbing the trim pieces.

I'm surprised, most time they say.

Our Rockwood 2604ws had the same issue, but was most visible in the bedroom. We tried several methods to remove the mess to no avail. Eventually used a vertical stripe of camouflage-pattern duct tape down each seam in the bedroom--looks good and kind of makes the room look taller!
