will it be powered by an Inverter, or only on shore power or generator?

Replaced a13.5 cu. ft. Dometic French Door with this.

Removed single 12V battery. Replaced with 2-6V deep cycle's.

Added Xantrex 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter

Vented battery cover in place.

Samsung 21.2 cu. ft. was a perfect fit width wise. Height was short so we raised it up about 4".

Keep freezer temps at 0 degrees. Can go colder if needed.
Refrig temp has held at a steady 35 degrees.

Now we scoop our ice cream instead of pouring it!

there are simple plug-and-play inverters on the shelf at W*mrt in the tire dpt, or at most auto stores, where u simply attach the alligator clips the battery(s) and plug in the fridge, or anything else.... if u want a quick easy and inexpensive method.
of course, there’s the onboard type inverters that are mounted and feed the output to your breaker panel’s ‘sub panel’ for inverted circuits - more costly, and much different to install.

I would have if I was going to run something other than the refrig.

Since the refrig is the only thing running off inverter 1000 is enough.

It does have a surge rating of 2000 watts.

Get the wattage of the fridge you choose and figure the number of hours your battery will, last. A good time for an efficient fridge. Two sixís are about 1300 Watts per day. More than 24 hours is pushing in hot weather.

Measure the doorway width. Most inexpensive fridges are awfully deap. On some rvs you have to remove the slide to get it in.

I would get a 2000 watt inverter. Could run a coffee pot. Maybe a microwave. Needs to be close to the battery and use big wires for the 12 volt wire. Really big.
