I noticed mine is sort of sliding out! Village idiot work from the factory. Rv is 2 years old.

Look at the factory water heater installation manual. Shows the two ways to secure it to the rv.

My Hathaway has an access panel behind the wet control panel. Need a child with long arms?

On line there are people doing it.

Assuming that you're needing to get to the electric and plumbing behind the heater, it appears that you need to take the panel in the back of the passthru out to access it.

So, I'm not sure I understand your question?

The title of the thread says "replacing the hot water heater"

Then you say "how do we get to it?"
Then you say "we know where not how?"

So are you asking where is it located or how to replace it?

Water heaters are usually replaced by removing the outer door and the screws around the door frame edges. After removing the plumbing, electrical and LP connections (from the inside) the unit pulls out of the side wall to the outside.

BTW... welcome to the forum.
I see your post count is at 0. (yes zero!)
Not sure how that happened?

Replacing water heater

Just wondering why the water heater needs replacing?
Does it not work?
Is it rusted?
What brand and size is it? Atwood or Suburban?
These questions need to be answered before help will arrive.
Good luck

lkm8020 folks are here to help, not cajole or make fun. The questions help get info to best answer your question(s). While yours brought a twinkle to my eye, adult restraint by the others are certainly more respectful. When you get your dilema solved we always like to hear the answer and outcome.
