Silverback brochure and Silverback, CC differences
Is there a better brochure on the Silverback's than that little one page thing on the Cedar Creek/Silverback website?
Also what construction differences are there between the Silverback and Cedar Creek?

Differences? Mostly what is offered as options on SB is standard on CC. There is also interior color schemes and floor plan differences. IMHO you cant go wrong with either.

I just bought a new silverback 29RE I believe the differences are mainly the base options. you can option out a silverback if you wish but price creeps up to that of the cedar creek then. Also the cedar creek has a moulded rear cap and the silverback doesnt.

I'll answer from my perspective as a Cedar Creek owner. Construction is basically the same, they come off the same assembly line. CC is a bit more upscale, but also runs a little higher in price. Also the CCs may have a bit more insulation on board. However, I can't swear to that. CCs may have more available options than the SBs. Others may have other perspectives.
As for the brochures, I think online is the only source (only one I ever found). If getting to the factory in northern Indiana is not in the cards, I'd suggest looking for a large RV show near you.

Thanks. I was wondering if there are any structural differences between the two? I had read somewhere that the CC had a dropped frame and bigger basement vs a straight frame and smaller basement. I don't remember if I read that over on rv.net or here awhile back.

might check out u tube on the construction of the units. both are great and I think they are the best constructed units on the market. Biggest thing is what floor plan works for you.

Yes the CC has a drop frame "Z frame " they all it. So the basement floor is lower and no step. The SB is a straight frame so the basement floor is higher with a step.
SB has 3 steps for the entry the CC 4 steps that are aluminum. Both have Dirt Devil central vans but the CC has the dust pan opening by the steps. SB has amore sculptured front cap for tighter turns. Slide control knobs are different.
All CC are now 7000lb axles and the CC has adjustable shackles. SB is a 6000 lb axle.
Other differences I recall have been covered. We have a multi page SB brochure but the CC is a one pager for now.
There is a difference in the cabinets between the 2. Maple on the SB and the CC just switched to new wood. I think it was beech.
We just spent 3 weeks of looking hard at these 5ers.

My SB 37BH has 7k axels not 6k, suspension is the same. The CC has a better air system with cold air returns in the roof not at the actual AC unit like the SB use. The rear cap is molded and finish has more options. For example the window shades are power. The same basic build process is used for both.

Are return air vents a big advantage if you have two a/c's? I see how it would make a difference with only one

My coach has two air units to which both are connected to the roof ducts. My second unit is located in front master bedroom. I have never owned a CC with the return air vents but it appears that system is less noisy and could be a little more comfortable from a more uniform climate control perspective. I can't confirm this but it seems plausible.
