Slide dimensions on cottage

We just purchased a Cedar Creek Cottage 40 CCK. We need to know the width dimensions of the slides We are trying to determine if it will fit on our current pad. Appreciate all the help ahead of time.

I would contact Forest River Cedar Creek division for this information. You might get this faster and more accurate for your year and model. Here is the contact page information for Cedar Creek destination trailers.

I would think the dimension between the wheels would be more important then the slides when determining the width of pad you need.

Mine has opposing slides. When extended they open out three feet on both sides. Have to watch trees and power hook ups. If you have one slide it could be deeper than three feet.

We are in the process of purchasing a used 2014 Cottage. Where are the inverter, inverter batteries, and water filter located? Thanks in advance for the info. I'm sure we will have more questions after we take delivery.

Cottage

First of all you don't have a inverter the converter is under closet in bed room
If you have a water filter it is in the compartment beside water connections.
The problem with cottages is the dealers may not have ever sold one and we are on our one to find out information. Very very little help on this forum because very few people have one

We need help with problems no good source for information

2017 Cottage Cheapened!

I have a 2014 Cottage on a lot in the Florida Keys. I ordered a new 2017 Cottage for another lot I purchased. I got caught in the changeover July 1 and will be receiving the newer version. I just saw some pictures of the actual changes and I am not impressed.

1. There is a significant reduction in drawers and cabinets to provide a pantry and 55 inch TV. We need those drawers. The new look makes it look like a weird scale. You are 8 feet away from a huge TV.

2. The valances on the windows are smaller and cheaper looking. The small look is out of proportion to the other oversize features.

3. The flooring is a weird, ugly mishmash pattern.

4. The woodwork is supposedly a glazed beechwood with cheap looking "Home Depot builder grade hardware".

5. The slide facias are a burnt wood three dimensional look that seems cartoonish.

6. The couch is longer but with one table and lamp instead of two. It is also the overstuffed pillow look that went out of style 10 years ago.

7. The in wall cabinet in the bedroom across from the closet is moved into the bathroom and is now a linen closet. Reducing bedroom storage.

8. The bathroom sink is now a brown dull looking mess.

9. They eliminated the backsplash over the side cabinet area. In early 2016 they eliminate the tambour door (appliance garage), now the backsplash. They also eliminated the pendant lights in the kitchen and replaced them with the puck LEDs.

10. The thing that should have been changed, the graphics, are still the boring simple stripes.

Overall, the designer is out of touch with good taste. They made it cheaper and saved a few bucks. I'm thinking of losing my $5K deposit and just getting a Park Model. The new interior is just plain fugly!

Might just be the particular model you looked at. Online the 2017's are the same as the 2016's and they still have the closet in the bedroom across from the closet. Maybe you just need to request a different model. Might be worth a try. Hope you find what you are looking for and you dont have to sacrifice your deposit. We love our 2016.

I ordered the 40CRS. All units manufactured after July 1 are considered 2017 (they also made the 2016 as 2017 model before July 1 as 2017) I found pictures online of a unit with the new changes at a dealership on RV Trader.
