Slide not closing fully

2016 33ik
After a 5000 mile trip, the kitchen slide will not close all the way. The top off the slide is closed and the bottom is out about 2-3 inches. It opens all the way and when closing slides, you can hear the pump strain like it does when they are closed all the way....but the one slide is still out a bit. Any ideas before I waste someone's time and my money. Thanks

Make sure something (dog ball/rope, picture, etc.) isn't behind the trim on the inside (you wouldn't be the first!) and make sure something isn't binding on the outside.

It is possible the cross bar drive gear, skipped a tooth or the drive gear, shear pin sheared.

After having an extra pair of hands operate the slide while I looked under the slide, I noticed the cylinder housing,( not the ram), moving in and out alot. I then researched what the actual cylinder looks like. I assumed it either broke the angle bracket off the frame, or the stud on the end of the cylinder broke off, or the nut simply came untreated and the cylinder came out of the bracket. I pulled down the belly pan, cut open the insulation, and low and behold, a nut fell to the ground. I put the cylinder back in the bracket, put a drop of blue locktite on the nut and tightened it back on. Tested operation of the slides. All open and close fully. Thanks for all input.
CASE CLOSED!

Lol. I never had any issues that I could resolve myself. Just got back from a 2 week Floeida trip. Was in your neck of the woods. These roads all over the U.S. are rough. Found a few nice ones, but overall, not the smoothest.

I have been bitten by that mistake a couple of times. One time we even ripped off the wood trim on the inside of the slide because someone thought the cavity formed when the slide was closed would be a good spot to store items while traveling. Of course it was a good spot until you forget that the items are there and try and open the slide.
