Having had the BakFlip, and sold it, I'm now leaning towards the Retrax Pro MX. Can lock and operate it and the tailgate independently. Can stop at any position. Holds a lot of weight. Hard aluminum......a knife isn't going to be able to cut through it.

But......a hitch AND this thing.........whew. Big Bucks!!

If I am seeing correctly, tmfaulksr did what I did with a hard cover Undercover tonneau cover. I like it for a couple of reasons, 1. It keeps courteous hands off the release (which is always padlocked) and what's stored under the cover and 2. I converts back to a somewhat stock tonneau cover. Tho' far from water tight, it is still somewhat of a cover.

I have been pulling a 5th wheel for many years and have always had a roll N lock. Works great no issues. Nice to be able to secure/lock items in back when not hooked up.

I have had this Truxedo cover for about 12 years now.
I initially bought this for my then 2004 Silverado.
When I purchased my 07 Silverado the box was the same as the 04 and I was able to put the Truxedo cover on the new truck.
2 years ago(2014) the rubber strip for the tailgate was separating along with a few wear marks (holes) on the cover itself.
I called Truxedo and they replaced this with a new cover and hardware as they are somewhat a new style now, all I needed was the receipt. Good thing for scanners.
Anyway I now have 2 Truxedo covers. I haven't managed to get the new one on to date, hopefully this summer I will get it done.
