Vacuum Breaker

My vacuum breaker for my black tank flush is leaking on my 2016 36CKTS cedar creek. I purchased a new one. It is located on the rear of the shower wall. Entry is gained under the bathroom sink, with a whole barley wide enough for my hand. I cannot visually see the breaker without using a snake camera.

Has anyone with this Cedar Creek replaced this breaker, and please tell me your secret for doing so.

Do you have a laundry hamper cabinet in the bedroom on the other side of the wall from the shower? If so, maybe the wall panel in the rear of that cabinet can be removed to get access.

On my 2017 36CKTS, the vacuum breaker is under the bathroom sink on the left. Is yours to the left of that, beyond the cabinet?

Yes, mine is outside the cabinet left wall. No access from the hamper wall cabinet, unless I cut out the wall. More than likely I will cut the wall of the cabinet under the sink. That wall is not finished, as the hamper wall is.

The medicine cabinet to the left of the sink.
I have a 2013 CKTS.
4 screws held this cabinet in, I pulled it out and the vacuum breaker was right there.
I am assuming that your 2016 is the same as my 2013.

Of course Forest River changes everything every year. My medicine cabinet is above my sink. To the left are shelves in which I seen no screws attaching to the wall. Or any way to pull the shelves out.

If I go into the cabinet under the sink, to the left above the water lines coming to the sink is a whole in which I can put my hand and feel the hose lines and vacuum breaker, but cannot see them. I would show you pictures, but I can't this program to access them (when I click on the paper clip, and it takes me to manage attachments and choose files, choose files does not function. Don't know why yet, as it has always worked in the past).

This is a pretty common issue with the Keystone line as well. Lotsa owners just eliminate the vac breaker all together as the replacement will eventually fail as well. Some go with a metal replacement vac breaker like from Home Depot or Lowes as they will last longer. It's highly unlikely you'll leave the flush hose hooked up to your fiver with the black tank totally full which is why this is installed OEM. On a couple of customers RV's, I've neatly cut a hole in the opposing wall if there is a closet or cabinet for easy access. I then just find an acceptable colored piece of paneling, cut it a tad larger, and screw it on. It's inside and out of sight and makes access sooooooo much easier.

Done. Cut the wall out beneath the hole for my hand so I have better access, still could not put my eyes on the vacuum breaker, but with my remote camera I could see where to cut. Because of the position of the breaker and the linen cabinet under the sink, I could still only get one hand in, but was able to replace the breaker.

And they lived happily ever after.

I had the same exact issue on our 2016 36CKTS and had to cut a bigger hole under the sink so I could reach in and cut out the vacuum breaker.

I cut mine out and just installed a loop using shark bite fittings but after getting mine out I saw it was easier to replace than I was expecting. The vacuum breaker can easily be removed and replaced after you cut a hole big enough to get your hands into.

Since I replaced the vacuum breaker, no more leaks. However, when I run the water into the black tank flush, It makes a noise, and the vacuum breaker vibrates. No kinks in any of the hoses. Can't tell if the noise is coming from the breaker, or somewhere else. Anyone else have this issue?
