Washer/dryer

Hello,
Looking for recommendations on stackable washer dryers. I know about the splendide model but wonder what others people are using. Also do they have to be an RV set? Not doing clothes going down the road so they will be pretty level most times. Providing I find the right fitment can I use residential sets? Thank you for the help.

As long as you can fit it space-wise and electrical capacity-wise, you're good to go.

I'll probably go with the splendide. Looks like it will work just fine.

We have has thee washer dryer combo and the only down side is they are not the capacity like you have at home.

The manual tell you to do smaller loads and don't wait until you are out of underwear or socks they hope to wash everything in an hour.
Won't happen.
A full load to wash and dry depending on if you get a vented or non-vented (I have vented) will take at least 1.5hrs. We usually do ours when we plan on being out and about.

Also read the manual as this animal is not like your home version.

I will attach the 2007 manual for a 2100xc model which is still the latest manual they have.
So the product has not changed in along time.
You can go to Splendide to look for a new version.

I found a great deal on a vented model $957 and shipping $9.99
Sale ends tomorrow 7/7/18

Just got back from our 5 week vacation.

Or Splendide stacked washer dryer was just right!

A couple, three, loads a week. Just smaller loads. Washer is swell. The 110 volt dryer is a little slow. An hour plus for jeans.

What convenience in our fifth wheel.

Makes laundry a no big deal.

Awesome, we live in ours and want to avoid the laundry mat. Thank you.

Don't forget to add 175# for the stackables to your cargo or king pin weight.

We have the Splendide stacked unit that I installed. I found a unit at Loweís that was great but it was I inch to deep. Our unit is downstairs and if I could do it over I would not install one. The loads are small and it takes to long to wash and dry. We have found that you can do laundry every other week and it doesnít take long at all to wash and dry the clothes. One time every two weeks is not worth to us having a unit in the camper. You have to ask yourself is it really worth it just so you donít have to use the campground laundry

We have the Splendide stacked units and love them. Yes, it takes a long time. However, who cares? When you are going to be at the camper for a while, wash some clothes. I decided on the Splendide models because they are designed to ride in RV's and boats. I didn't think it made much sense to install a unit made for a house in a vehicle that's going to be bouncing down the road.

Stackable additional parts

If you get the stackable don't forget to look at getting the following items:

- Outside vent if you're going through a side wall
- You will need a large hole saw for the vent
- Stackable kit to attach dryer to washer
- Drain pan, we decided not to get one
- You may need the 45 degree vent tube that comes out of the dryer if the vent is to the left or right

You may already know but there will be some amount of shaking from the washer, not much you can do to prevent it.

Good luck....

Currently our 3rd rig with the Splendide stack washer/dryer. Never have had any problems, easy to winterize, and the time to wash dry has not been an issue for us. Well worth it for the convenience .

I kinda wish I could sell mine and install the drawers back in. I would have more cabinet space. DW doesnít use ours, you can only use small loads and it shakes the camper. We can do our laundry once a week for a couple of hours in the campground laundry. The washer/dryer messes up our sleeping time plus itís hard to hear the tv, ours is downstairs
