Wasted Space

Recently took delivery on my CC 36CKTS. I discovered the area to the right of the washer/dryer was not accessible. Had my dealer order a factory matched door (same size as the one beside the microwave) from Forest River, cut a hole above the cadet wall heater, framed the opening and mounted the door. We now have access to the dryer vent, 110v plugs, water hookups and most important, a storage area for the washer/dryer supplies. Not hard to do and my wife loves the convenience. Hated to start cutting holes in a new rig, but everything turned out fine.

Nice job! It's a shame it didn't come from the factory like that.

I did the same think but on both sides, the one by the washer I put a basket in for the laundry stuff and the other side I used as storage for the vacuum hose and tools.

My 2017 36CKTS.......the heater is on the other wall......above where your black electrical receptacle is. And I have WAY less space to the outside of the washer dryer than you do. No room for a door or cabinet.

I've seen a lot of 36CKTS, from 2012 to 2017, and they're all somewhat different there. There's a lot of plumbing changes that SHOULD have been made to make the installation easier. I had to cut down and move the closet vertical support to get mine in there, and use elbows on the faucets to connect. It was just a smidge off from being big enough. But I got it done and it's fine.
