Water input leaking?

Where the water hose connects to the input connection, it has started leaking when the hose is removed. It acts like a low point drain. I would assume it has a check valve that has gone bad. What is necessary to fix it? Thanks for any responses!

Go to any big box home improvement store and get either a check valve for a house (like for a sprinkler system) or a manual on/off valve. I have the manual valve and it works for me.
