Where is tire tool?
I got a new Hathaway 34IK and wanting to know if there is a tire tool for taking off TT lug nuts. Where is it located if there is one? I discovered my F350 tire tool is too small. Looks to be a 7/8” size....is this correct? Thx

I've never owned a Cedar Creek, but in all my years I have never seen any 5th wheel that came with tools for changing a tire.

I have never had a TT that included any tire tools or jacks. You have to supply your own.

Yep, no tire tools for trailers. Make sure you have one that fits the lug nuts before you need it
I always carry a breaker bar, extension, and proper socket for whatever trailer is behind me. Also carry, and frequently use, a torque wrench to check all lug nuts.

Also be sure to check the lug size in many cases your TV lug wrench will not fir it. I carry a big 4 way wrench.

Not only do they not provide tools they put those dumb covers on the lugs to help you strip them nice and easy. Be careful what tool you use because many 4 way tools will strip them and some dont fit on the wheels.
I have large socket sets. Need one for the water heater annode anyway so it works for me. They are $13 at harbor freight and a breaker bar is cheap there too but I use the torque wrench on the lugs. That and a trailer aide will get them swapped really quickly.

I would add that a floor jack and lots of blocks of wood sure come in handy.

Only six point socket on those lug nuts with the covers on them. If you have alloy wheels a 4 way wrench will not work if you have alloy wheels.
The spare tire may also have different size lug nuts if it on a bumper rack.
Remember to check air pressure in the spare on a regular basis.

Best thing to do with those lug nuts with covers is to replace them with solid ones.

Amen to that....let Amazon supply you with new solid chrome lug nuts, then carry a 3/4" thin wall 6 point deep well socket and 24" breaker bar. Use the breaker for your water heater socket also.

Don't forget the 6" extender for wheels and the water heater.

By the way.
The wrench to lower the spare on our Hathaway was hidden under the bed!
Suspect yours is too.
Did not like the way my four way lug nut wrench fit the lug nuts.

I have 18 Cedar Creek. No tire tool comes with it as well as tool to let the spare tire down, at least mine didn't. Had to buy one and yes it's 7/8...

X2 on checking to have the correct socket before getting on road. After breaking the lug nuts I would use a four way to spin the nut off. Doesn’t work on new trailer. Appears there ar3 metrics now and old 4 way is SAE. Good luck with that!

Almost impossible to find a metric 4-way. 1 inch is close to 25 mm, 3/4" is close to 19 mm, but the others don't fit.

In place of a jack, I ordered and use a four way lug nut wrench and a tire changing ramp, called a Trailer Aid from Amazon.
Better in emergencies while on the road and still connected
You lift good wheel on side of flat tire. Brings tire that is flat off the ground.
No jack required and no guessing where to place jack.
You can order through Amazon website

Chuck out the lug nuts with "covers" and get solid nuts to replace them. Most sizes can be bought on Amazon for $20-$40 a set depending on size and number of studs. I bought some longer chromed solid steel ones for my trailer (a set of 20) for like $24.
Instead of a common 4-way lug wrench, I would get an inexpensive 26" breaker bar for 1/2" sockets at Harbor Freight (the pro model - with coupon runs $15) and then a couple of individual sockets for the sizes you need. I would get deep well, 6 point sockets that fit the RV/trailer lugs and the tow vehicle lugs (if different) and any other difficult to take off by hand nut sizes. The longer straight breaker bar is easier to store than the wide 4-way. The Pittsburgh models at HF have a lifetime warranty so if you do find a way to break it, just swap it out at a store somewhere.
The longer breaker bar will give you much more leverage than the 4-way lug wrench. This is helpful in breaking loose nuts that were put on with an air gun by a service shop. I like to never got mine off my trailer earlier this year. My 750lb air gun would not do the job, and I ended up buying a 1,150lb air gun. Ended up spinning off 3 of the lug nut covers, but I was going to replace them with solid lug nuts anyway.
A tip if you do spin off a lug nut is try the next size down socket. For example my lug nuts were 3/4" or 19mm (same size). The ones I spun the covers off had a solid steel (all-be-it an unatractive solid steel) lug nut underneath the cover. A 18mm socket fit it find and I was finally able to get them off. I actually think part of the problem was the covers were loose on the others and sort of cushioning the force of the smaller impact gun when they slipped, but did not spin. The ones that spun the covers off, came right off with an 18mm on the remaining solid nut that was under the cover, where it had just sat there and hammered away on the cover until it spun off.
Oh, yeah, add a "one size smaller" socket to your set if you have the lug nuts with caps/covers on them and are not replacing them. You will eventually have one that spins off. Or Just get a set of them for $19 at Harbor Freight (with the common coupons). I keep a set of deep well, 6 point, impact rated ones in my trailer with my spare breaker bar.

Tire oolt
I've owned travel trailers since 1974, and have never had a lug nut wrench come with one. I use my 1/2" socket and breaker bar. Have never liked the tools that come with vehicles.

Look under your bed for the tool to let the spare down.
Bye-The-Way, I just had to change my wheel, does any Cedar Creek owner know the torc to tighten the bolts on the wheel? I will post this in the proper Cedar Creek forum section, but since on topic here, thought I ask. Thank you.
