The Progressive EMS was only reading one leg. First they sent me new sensors, and that didn't work. Then they sent me a new circuit board. Now it is reading both leg1 and leg 2. Give them a call and they might be able to tell you what happened. I would kiss the microwave good-bye and get yourself an new one. I don't think they are "repairable"

Sound like you might have had a loose neutral,causes Up to 150volt to burn out the micro and clock. And I’d you didn’t have a separate ground the surge protector couldn’t stop it
|

Spell check , check for a loose wire , mine was loose in the yellow twist lock connector

Did you check the micro for a blown fuse . Takes a 20 amp ceramic fuse . It’s behind the touch control. Remove the upper grill and there is a screw at the top of the control,push up on it and it’ll hinge down . You should be able to see it and reach it with needle nose pliers.

No fuse behind upper grill. Just vent to outside

I believe I can see the screw I the crack between the control and grill. Once you remove that screw push up and it’ll hinge down and you’ll see that fuse. I bet your service center didn’t touch it because most believe in throw it away and sell u a new one. A fuse is a dollar and fifty cents

Have you tried to find a YouTube video of replacing the fuse ? But I have seen the hood microwaves for $75 at Lowe’s

Found it. Checked fuse, it is not blown. I guess I will buy another microwave, which doesn't upset me, but since I do not know what blew this one, I don't know how to prevent it from happening again.

Some times the power surge gets the copper trace on the back of the control board . If you feel like it take control board loose and look at the rear of the board near the transformer . I soldering gun and may be a small jumper where the trace was . I've fixed some from storms and power surges that way.

I checked the circuit board behind the control panel, pictured above, nothing lose or blown. It gets to a point where the time exerted in trying to fix this, exceeds the cost of a replacement. I have reached that point. I am still looking for the reason for the surge.
