Winterizing the city water connection a 38fl

Hi all,

Has anyone got any experience they can share about how I winterize the city water supply connection? On my previous TT's I used to remove the mesh filter and press the small valve concealed behind. This used to result in the antifreeze spurting out of the connection and usually all over me. On the 38fl, I don't appear to have this set up. I've winterized the rest of the rig, just not the last part and I don't want to get caught out.

Thanks in anticipation.

I use air and one of these blowout plugs to purge the entire system of water before I put some antifreeze into the system. Oh and I will be installing a bypass on the filter housing to prevent that from taking a bunch of antifreeze.

38fl, interested in your bypass for the filter housing. We had a Salem in the past and I found a housing half the size of the normal housing the help reduce the amount of anti-freeze but now have a Cedar Creek. Looking for ideas as well regarding the water filter.

Water filter housing

On my 33RL, did HW heater bypass and pulled the filter and tossed it. Re-installed housing and let it fill as I pumped anti freeze through the system. Once completed, pulled the housing and used the anti freeze in it to pour down sink drains. Dried housing and screwed it back on. Can't freeze with nothing in it and dry Anti freeze remains in in/out lines on both sides of the filter system.
