2013 Sportcoach very COLD

We left NJ heading to Fl. and it was 11 degrees outside, the coach was so cold we had to pull over twice so I could warm up my feet. I had the zone 1 heat set at 80 degrees, and the dash at full blast. The coach was just terribly cold. We are back in NJ now and the coach is in the shop. I'm told that they found a leak between the coach and the chassis. Has anyone else experienced this type of coldness with there SportCoach? We only took one trip and I'm ready to trade it in, I can't use it like this. Now with warmer weather coming I'm afraid I will not get the chance to test it again before the one year warranty expires. It's a shame because my wife really likes the coach. I even signed up for the rally in Goshen this June so the factory tech's can look at it. Again just wondering what everyone else has experienced this driving during cold weather.

I have not experienced anything like that, since we just picked up our coach Saturday, but giving up on a coach like the Sports Coach after one issue is a bit extreme. I hope I am not coming off as a horses butt, but these things happen, I am willing to bet the leak they found is keeping your basement very warm. I am guessing the connection between the furnace and the ducting jarred lose and it shouldn't have happened, but it does.
You are putting an entire apartment on wheels and driving it around the country, things come lose and quit working. Try putting your home on a trailer and pull it around, see what happens.
I am sure the folks at the shop will get it running and working in short order, you can not beat Coachmen and Forest River.

The Goshen rally is in August

keep the faith

Hi, we just joined up. Wonder if we could get some help finding a sink lid wall mount for our Concorde 300ss, It looks in pics I've seen like two pieces of wood mounted to the wall that you can slide the cover to the sink in out of the way.Anyone know where we could find these? We just switched from a 5th wheel to this motor home and love it so far. Thanks and Happy Camping.

Can't help you with this one, try posting in the Coachmen Motorhomes section in a new thread, maybe there is a Concord owner that will help you out

CSMRetired, Congrats on your new coach. I love the floor plan and it gives us plenty of room to take the grandchildren to Florida. But as I stated if this cold issue can't be resolved I'll be looking to trade it in. My purpose on the form was to see if anyone else had this issue. I'm looking for someone who has one and drove in very cold weather and how was the climate in the coach? We always leave NJ in the winter for Florida trips, usually with the grandchildren. If I had taken anyone with us on this trip we would have had to turn back, it was that cold.
All the other issues on our punch list we small issues that you would expect on a new coach. Looking foward to getting it back Friday. The temp in NJ is supposed to be around 24 degrees so I'll know real quick if the issue has been resolved. Then in 51 more days off to Disney with two very special grandchildren.
Again congrats on your purchase.

Please be sure to let us know when you get it repaired and what the issue was, so that if others do have that same problem they may know what to expect.

Okay, just got the coach back today. They found a spot about 4 inches long and about 1 inch wide where air was entering the cabin at the firewall. I wanted to drive it home today because it was only 20 degrees outside. Happy to say it's better. Sad to say there is still an issue with cold aid entering the drivers side cabin. Driving down the interstate I placed a digital thermometer by my leg, it registered 50 degrees. The cabin in the back was much more comfortable, much better then before. Anyway I know I still have a problem but I think it's workable. In June I hope the factory techs can help me at the Goshen In. Coachmen rally. Nothing would make me happier then for someone to point out a secondary problem. That would mean it could be fixed and then I'll be a truly "happy camper". I do have to say Diane at Boat n'Rv in Hamburg Pa has been great to deal with. She has given my wife and I the best service anyone could ask for. It's always nice to see someone go above and beyond.

Well if you give up give me a call; maybe we can make a deal. I have an Encounter that has every issue ironed out and many upgrades and it stays warm all the time and it's cool in the hot sun. 5 days in very hot Texas sun in late July and no shade. The two A/Cs kept the inside nice and cool without a hiccup. It has a fireplace too and that thing really throws out the heat. Just sayin'
