2019 Coachmen Freelander Furrion Port on the side. Is a Charge Conroller needed?

Hello All,
I have a 2019 Coachmen Freelander on a Ford Chassis with a gasoline engine. It has an on-board generator. It also has a Furrion Solar Port on the side. I just purchased 2 Bluetti 120W solar panels. Is a Charge Controller needed to hook the solar panels to my batteries through the furrion side port or is a charge controller built into the coach's battery charging system?
Thank you kindly to all who can provide this RV and Solar newbie with some insights.
With gratitude for your attention!

Typically yes, the port is just a direct wire connection to the batteries.

Absolutely YES. Also, don't forget that it is only rated at 10 amps.

Of course the OP can hookup the batteries direct to the battery with alligator clips or via a connected harness and avoid that 10 amp fuse.

It has been reported in this forum that the actual side connect wires are actually 10 gauge wires which means that they can safely carry 30 amps (verify first). So theoretically, the 10 amp fuse can be replaced with a 30 amp fuse.

Do you have a typo there? "hookup the batteries to the battery"?
