We have a 2022 Coachmen Leprechaun 319 MB with dual 11.5K BTU AC units.
The front AC unit is ducted and works as expected from the Dometic thermostat. The second unit is not ducted and is in the rear bedroom. It has controls on the bottom of the unit itself. The controls do not cause the unit to turn on.
I have tried this on 15/20 Amp connection at home, a 30 Amp connection at a campsite pedestal and with the Onan 4000 KW generator. None of the circuit breakers are tripped.
Under what conditions should this second AC unit function?

I could be wrong, but I think it should turn on with the controls at the bottom of the unit.
You need to check with your dealer. It sounds like warranty work.
Some 30 rigs with dual ACs have a switch that prevents both ACs from running when on 30 amp shore power (my class A was wired that way) however they should both run when on the 4K generator. Check around for the switch (mine was in a cabinet) I'm referring to. JMHO
