20CB fresh water draining

We are new to rv-ing and just returned from our inaugural road trip with our 2018 20cb. During our trip we noticed two things regarding our fresh water: (1) when the pump was turned on it would run briefly every few minutes whether we had used water or not; and (2) every time we moved our rig water had drained out underneath. Closer inspection indicates that whenever the water pump is on a small, steady stream of water comes out of one of two blue tubes underneath (just in front of the grey water tank). Is this a water pump issue or something else? Thanks.

Sounds like a small water leak. As the water leaks out and the pressure drops the water pump comes on to raise the pressure. If this RV is new, make appointment with dealer for warranty. It may just be a loose clamp.

Thanks John for your quick and helpful response. The curious part to me of your suggestion is why would it be streaming out what appears to be an overflow tube?

The two "blue tubes" actually Pex are your low point drains. They should either have a plug in them or a 1/4 turn valve. They need to be closed when using your water. If you have a plug, carefully tighten it.

Flybob: I think you have hit on the issue for me!!!! Thank you. It appears that there was some type of tape at the end of each pex tube. I will also look for a valve. You have also given me insight into the function of these tubes for low-point drainage - important to know when we are in need of winterizing.... I appreciate your helpful response.

Flybob, John (and others): Problem resolved!!!!! I accessed the "Low Point Drain" area (in the cargo space under bed) and found the chrome "main valve" in the pex line coming from the bottom of the fresh water tank... Just beyond that valve are two pex tubes (blue and red) going through the floor and extending beneath the rig. Each of these tubes have black plastic "T" valves (on the inside) that were in the "open" position. Upon closing those two valves the stream of water stopped.
