New owner here. Does anyone know the weight limit for the ladder on the back of Coachmen Leprechaun 311FS? What about weight limit for the roof? I don’t plan on using it as a “sun deck”, but would like to know if it would be safe for a 325 pound guy.

A general rule of thumb across all RV brands is if the roof can be walked on the limit is around 250 lbs. Many heavier folks cut 1/2 plywood into 8 i.e. 10" wide planks for walk on to spread out the weight.

Most RV roof ladders appear to have a weight limitation of 200-250# range, which is making the gross assumption they are installed correctly into sufficient blocking. I go about 225# and avoid using the ladder except for emergencies. I do walk on my roof, but try to stay on the rafters. I usually access my roof via an extension ladder laid against the rolled-up awning.

I use the ladder and walk over the roof all the time with no concerns, but I am 210. I would not if I would be 260 or more.
