Bent awning bracket

I have a Dometic power awning. I went to put it in and the left side collapsed and no doubt bent the bracket. The awning is almost all the way out. I think a bolt coming out caused it to collapse. The other side seems ok,
I assume I need to lock the roller before installing the new bracket? How do I do that? I just see a small hole on top and bottom?
Any advice?
Thanks!

Looks like a mess, looks like you lost the pin. As far as locking the roller not necessary, it is not spring loaded like a topper, you have to lock those but not the motorized main awning the gear in the motor will hold it in any position you want. Can you hold that side up while someone rolled it in?

Yeh, I think so. Good to know on not having to lock the roller! That was my fear! I did find a brand new bracket but needless to say very pricey!
Thanks!

Good news is that you didn’t bend the roller, where did you find the bracket? If you fine the motor got damaged , I have 2 extra that I got from a salvage yard, there white but could be painted black, so if you need one , you pay the shipping and 75.00 bucks and it’s yours, good luck in your repair.
