Camco Tank Rinser

Anyone else experience a problem using the Camco Water Heater Rinse Wand? I used and the wand blew off and into the Water Heater.
Any wisdom on if it hurts anything or creative ideas how to get it out? The drain hole is pretty small. I can see it with a flexable camera but not enough room to maneuver it out.

Maybe a coat hanger doubled up and wrapped with tape, sticky side out? What a PITA.

Wow. Thatís one of the first RV tools I bought years ago. Never thought to look at the connection on mine.....but I will now.

It shouldnít cause any trouble......operative word is shouldnít.
It might float around because itís plastic, but Iím not sure of itís density.

Hereís a picture of the only tool that might grab it for you, or the tips given so far.

Also while the heater is out cut a washing machine supply hose in half and screw onto a garden hose and put it in the Heater hole! Now watch the White Crud flow out of the Drain hole! Youroo!!

Camco Wand

Thanks for suggestions
Might try both.
Problem with heating element is that it is on inside part of tank and will have to see how to access - behind bedroom wardrobe

I ordered a new one from Amazon and the wand was cracked where it attached to body. Took the wand off and boiled it for 10 minutes in case I have to leave it in there. Didn't melt or soften.

Wow, I never thought of this happening! Thanks for the warning, I’ll hold onto the wand the next time I use it.

No rotating machinery in water heater for it to get ground up in. Will probably just lay on the bottom of the tank doing nothing. Next time you pull the anode out shine a flashlight int he hole. Might just be laying there where you can fish it out with a piece of wire or whatever your imagination comes up with.
