Coachmen Prism 2150LE CB Antenna

Hi all,

New to forum .... 1st post

We just bought a new 2015 Prism 2150LE and so far so good after a trip from south Texas to the mountains of S. California.

I'm looking for CB antenna mounting suggestions on the Prism's MBenz Sprinter chassis.

Ideas?

Most Sprinter chassis folks I have seen around that have "Radio" plates (Hamsters) had the sticks mounted on the rear ladder with tube clamps.

Thanks, I'll look into that, but just what is a "radio plate"?

In CA it just has your Amateur Radio License number.

By "plate" I thought you were referring to some kind of antenna mounting plate. License plate never entered my mind, even though you mentioned "hamsters" ...... and I'm even a hamster myself! Duh ....

Hi, I'm new too Welcome !! I have used several types of CB antennas on prior Sprinter based rigs, !. Glass mounted (window over bunk) 2. Magnetic mount to front cowling area. 3. Metal bracket attached to under hood bolt.
All those worked ok depending on antenna base type, and eliminated any drilling into the body..most antennas work best with a metal ground.
