Electric trailer brake wiring

I have a 2018 Freelander 27Q on a Chevy 4500 chassis with a gas engine. I am wanting to hook up electric brakes for a trailer does anyone have any idea where they ended the wiring to hook up a brake controller. I have been unable to find it I don't want to tear the cab apart looking for it. Is it in the engine compartment, in the dash, behind the kick panel ?

Thanks for any information.

I don’t know your model, but if yours have a small place to put the coins in the dash, try to remove it. The connection might be there.

you need the wire harness that is supplied with that truck when it was 1st purchased. they are available ,and they are plug and play. there is a space in fuse block under dash for it. then wire it to controller. i used a techinosha controller. " not spelled correct" and there help desk to hook it up. chev. flipped wire colors from year to year.

By the way, when I did mine, I didn't know about the dash connection. I ran wires from the back to the front under the dash.

On my Chevy 4500 2019 270QB the wires are under the front floormat. I know because I traced the wires. There are posts in other forums that speak to this. Ford put a plug in from the factory - not so for the Chevy's. Look for a wire bundle that is taped together.
