full wall slide issues

Has anyone had issues with the models with the full wall slides? I love the concept but have nightmares about not being able to retract it if there are problems.

You can have the same nightmare with any slide system.

You're right, but I imagine smaller slides are easier to push in manually,no?

Enjoy your unit, and don't be concerned about what could happen. If not you will not enjoy having a unit.

Depends on the system. I have actually had a small bedroom slide (not on my unit) get so jammed that we had to use pry bars and jacks to get it back square enough to get pushed in for the trip to the shop.

As long as the full wall slide is built correctly and installed properly there shouldn't be any issues. My larger slide works the best of my two.

We have had a persuit 30SB with full slide for 4 yrs with no trouble. Use dry lubricant twice a year. Make sure the batteries are fully charged or use generator when operating.

Since the depth of the slide is less than a full sized pull-out the overall load is no more than a smaller single pullout. In fact we chose the full size as it is faster and easier to manipulate than multiple slides. Also it can be extended in tighter locations (footprint) as opposed to other configurations. There are sufficient support rollers IMO. We find we are able to use the coach with the slide in when overnighting on the road.

I would definitely consider purchasing again as we find it suitable to our needs. We have been pleased with the support from Coachmen. Wish I could say the same about the dealer.

We have 45,000 miles on the unit so far.

Happy hunting..
