Install of AC inverter in Freelander

I am going to install an AC inverter in our 2009 freelander . This will be a cheaper square wave type of unit vs. a sine wave as the intent is for the wife to be able to sew going down the road. It doesn't seem to mess with the sewing machine nor the TV which is the other consideration.

There is an unused lug on the 12 volt distribution board in tandem where the B+ connects. This apparently by test is after the battery disconnect switch. I plan to hook there and immediately have a 50 amp self reset circuit breaker protecting the installation.
Does this throw up a red flag to anyone? We have recently purchased this unit so am not as well versed on the circuitry as I would like to be. Thanks in advance for any comments.

Depending on the size of inverter, it's usually best to wire right to the battery.

Was kind of hoping to hook on beyond the battery disconnect switch so that everything is dead when it drops out.

What is the maximum wattage you need to draw from the inverter? Starting with that you can work backwards to find out what wire and breaker size you will need. It takes a big gauge wire to carry the amps needed for most inverter installations and that's why you are asked if you can hook directly to the battery.

I have a 700 watt continuous,1400 watt intermittent unit. Based on the fact that we used this same unit in our previous camper with a 50 amp breaker with no problems , I am installing the same way. Using #8 marine cable which is very pricey but very easy to bend. the 50 amp breaker with about 90% efficiency should allow about 600 watt max draw which I don't intent to test as the sewing machine motor starts slow.

As to where the disconnect switch is and if I can hook to it--don't know as it must be mounted behind the power center judging from the clank I hear when I use it. Not prepared to pull it just for this. Thanks for all comments to date and any that may be coming.
