Project 2000 electric steps

I have a problem with my electric steps.

The top part of the frame mounting is bowed down in the middle and scrapes the step so much that it grabbed the inside rubber no-slip tread and ruined it.
I got a replacement before I discovered the problem and won't install it until the frame gets un-bowed.
Anyone else encounter this problem?

I've had numerous step issues and as a result have learned how to do repairs myself. Also learned quickly that you do not want to be in the action area when they deploy or fold in. I have the Lippert double electric step assembly. Broken shoulder bolt and broken link end recently. I think I am on the Lippert list as a frequent buyer now. But, I am glad to say I have not had a bowed frame. Sorry I can not help.

Just got word that electric step will be replaced by Coachmen under warranty with work done at my local RV dealer. Hooray! Coachmen really stands behind their products!!! Kudos

Got steps replaced with new set of Project 2000 steps provided by Coachmen. We'll see how this one holds up. Nice to have smooth step again.
