Replaced Dometic 301 Toliet

My 6 month old Coachmen bathroom started to smell like a portapotty. Read online that there were potential issues with liquid seaping into an internal area on some models, So, I bought a porcelain upgraded Dometic 311 and installed it tonight. Took the ďoldĒ toilet out and sure enough it was filled with urine! Ugh. Iím calling Dometic tomorrow and see if I can get some relief (New toilet only cost $160, but!)

Nice...

We're looking to replace ours with the 320 Low Profile (Short Legs! )...

Any gotchas with the fit or placement?

Thanks!

We tried to replace ours....but the back part didn't fit in the hole that Coachmen uses to bring the water in.

I'll have to look at your model, I can't remember which one I tried, and see if it fits in our 2018.

Jim,

I have the same Rig as you, so hopefully, if you have any pics or advice, I'd be happy to see!

Thanks!

Looking at the pics and the 311 online, I see where my difficulty was. I tried to put in an Aqua Magic and the hose access didn't quite line up.

From these pics it looks like if you take a Dometic out, you have to put a Dometic back in.

Thank you for the pics. When I get the coach back, a new Dometic is going in. Hate that plastic bowl!

Thanks for the pics. I am hoping that the 320 will be a straight-forward rip-and-replace installation. I'll post any updates!

It was really easy... hardest part was lining up the bottom bolts!

You can see a spec sheet for all of the dometic toilets on their web site. All the mounting dimensions are shown so you can check clearances before ordering. I replaced the 300 with a 320 with spray hose. Big improvement.

If you have 2-1/2” of space between the back of a 300 and the wall, a 320 will fit.

If you currently have a 301, all you need is 2-1/4”.

I just replaced an Aqua Magic IV with a Dometic 310. I had to buy a new hose to go from teh floor to the back of the toilet. The 310 also sits out an inch further from the wall - the wife says it will be easier to clean behind.
