Rock Guard on Prism 24G Underbody/Do I need airbags?

Poking around under my new Coachmen Prism 24G I noticed a steel plate dangling just behind and above the driver side rear wheels. It was hanging by the last of three self tapping screws. The damage was caused by the plate being struck by the wheels, probably when the MH rocked from side to side. I called Forest River and they explained this is a "rock guard" that protects a wiring harness. They're sending me a new plate and suggested I install airbags to counter the rocking. I worry about serious damage to the tires.

Any thoughts on airbags for a 2015 Sprinter 3500 chassis?

I had the same thing happen to the rock guard on the pass side. Never knew about the rocking being a cause. No idea re airbags.. will ask dealer and keep an eye on this thread
