Roof vents

Just replaced 3 roof vent covers that totally disintegrated in less than 2 years on our 2017 Leprechaun 311FS. Coachmen said they would send new covers as they had a batch of bad ones. Unfortunately, I had already purchased before checking with Coachmen. Just a “heads up.”

I have the same unit as you do. I have had no problems with the original covers but it is because I ask MaxAir covers to be installed before delivery. The original covers are worthless specially when strong wind hits them. There is no way around it unless you put MaxAir or Camco covers. They protect against strong winds and rain. My experience in the three units I have owned.

I had the same experience on my first travel trailer. The covers on the factory fans are worthless.

The plastic used for the vent lids is not uv resistant like the plastic in vent covers is.
