Solar Shade Addition

Just asking and yes I am a newbie. Has anyone added solar shades to driver window, passenger window or windshield? We have the pull around fabric curtains and they are just ok at night, but need sun protection while driving and parked.

I use sun shades while parked, especially if in direct sunlight. I made my own out of Reflectix. You can buy a roll at Lowes or Home Depot. I have also cut shades for the side windows in the past.

Yep ordered them from Amazon . If you have a power bunk, you have to be careful about mounting them and size. I think our are around 24".

Thanks for the responses. I am not a DIYer, so will continue to look for a solar shade business with experience measuring, installing shades. Appreciate the heads up on bunk, as we have one.

I took down the pull around curtains and lined them with a black-out fabric. Very easy upgrade and looks OEM. Best solution for us. Total time 2 hours and maybe $15.

Checkered Cat - thanks for reply. I understand what you have done with the blackout liner, sounds nice .My issue is while the curtains are open, because we are driving the sun coming in the larger driver, passenger and front windows are cause for concern and can be a bit blinding. I will have 2 estimates by the end of the week and will make a decision to add or not.
