TV Issue with Cable Hook-up

One day we are enjoying the 25 cable channels the campground provides us in our 2021 Coachmen Mirada. The next day, we have to re-scan and get only 2 channels. Try again and we get 4 channels. After numerous attempts it seems 10 channels is the max we receive. We hook the campground cable directly to the TV and we get the full 25 channels. We call Coachmen and they have not heard of this issue and don't offer a solution. At the cable input on the coach, a sticker says that if digital cable is provided by the campground, a cable box may be required. Has anyone encountered this issue or have a suggestion? Thanks!

Pull the cover off the wall plate and make sure connections are good.

Sounds like an issue with cabling or splitters in the unit. Not an uncommon thing unfortunately.

OTA Over The Air. There should be a tiny switch with a small LED. This booster must be off to watch cable channels.

Make sure this button is pushed in and the LED is ON for OTA (Over the Air) reception from your roof antenna.

Make sure button is out and LED us OFF for park cable connections.

Thanks, the OTA (now that I know that abbreviation) is/was in the OFF position. Strange thing is we changed nothing, other than turn the TV off, and lost reception on 15+ cable channels. Very strange. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Did you double check to make sure the television is set to watch cable? The settings could have been changed and you may need to rescan the channels.

They did say with the cable connected directly from outside to inside it works OK.

You might test the coax with a meter.

I had a situation where I was getting cable (DirectTv, the rv site provided the genie box for direcTV). One day it stopped working. I bypassed the splitter on the wall plate and had to go direcTV the genie. I found out that the splitter may not be able to handle the frequencies of the satellite. This is different from a regular cable tv feed.

Did you use the same cable from park supply point to TV for testing as you normally use? If not, that normal cable would be the first suspect. Inspect the connectors for a bent over and shorting center wire.

On our TT we have two connections, one that comes from the outside antenna (with the amplifier on it - green light) and one for a direct feed from the cable. It was a bit mixed up in the wiring, but, there were actually two connections. You might see if there is a second connection since you are getting a feed from the park. Ours was in a little black covered box on the outside of the TT (the antenna connection ran to the roof antenna). Hope that helps.

When you turn off the TV, you are simply using the remote to do so, right? There is no way you are cutting the power to the TV? If so, it would probably lose memory and you would have to repeat the scan process......yep, grabbing at straws here, since previous suggestions seemed the likely answer(s). Hope one of them works for you!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and we'll check them all - double-check them. We're headed out on a circle trip around Lake Michigan next week so I'll have multiple campgrounds to test this out. If it's still a problem, fortunately we're still under warranty, so I'll be visiting the Coachmen plant and let them figure it out.
