wifi ranger location

Have a 2020 sportscoach. Any clue where they hid the wifi ranger inside? Before I start opening up things it would be nice to have an area to start with.

Thanks

If it is like mine, the entire unit is on the roof where the antenna is. The only thing inside is the switch to turn it on.

Mine looks like that but it says Sky4 and has two antennas.
I thought there was something inside so you could insert a sim card?

I'm not up on the Sky 4s. Hang on a minute and someone with a 4 will post here.

Tried that. Did not find anything that helped. If there is a sim option available there has to be something inside to plug it into. Can't believe they would have you climb up on the roof and break a watertight seal to insert a sim card.

Here's your answer:

It's on the roof.

A little pricey I'd say.

Just found (on the wifi ranger site) the quick start info. It shows an indoor unit that goes along with the roof unit. That is the part I need to find.

Use any existing hotspot data plan from AT&T or Verizon (remove the sim card from your hotspot and place it in the LTE modem board, then mount everything in your existing Sky4 housing on the roof and surf!). Don't have a data plan or looking for a true unlimited data plan? We have you covered!

I took my Sky4 unit apart to install new innards and it's not a big deal. The design is such that taking it apart and putting it back together is easy and it doesn't make it less waterproof.

I'm also pretty sure the "inside part" that you are looking for does not exist in these Forest River products that have the Sky4 unit installed as an OEM item. At lease mine doesn't have one...

For the record: I thought about getting the cell data kit for mine, but decided that if I wanted to set up a cellular hot spot I would rather get a stand alone unit. I had enough minor issues trying to use the wifi on it that I decided I really didn't want to commit to setting up a cellular connection that may or may not work well. If I bought a stand alone hot spot, then I could use it in different ways, not just when I was using my RV.
