Yellow areas on ceiling

2 days ago, I bought a brand new 2021 Coachmen Cross Trail XL 22XG.
My wife noticed some yellow areas on the ceiling above the bunk bed.

Also One of the picture shows what appeared to be water mark from the side.

Does anyone know what these are?

This is a brand new unit.

Thanks guys.

Was this not detected during the PDI/walk-through?

Looks like a significant water leak to me.

Apparently it wasn’t! Next is to figure it out. Is that the front of the trailer? Maybe some chalking didn’t cover the front cap and there is a water leak. Time for a close roof inspection.

I just called the dealership and bringing it back tomorrow morning.
I did not detect this during the PDI/Walk-through but it had only been 2 days since I brought the motorhome back.

Water Leak

You have water getting in somewhere.
I expect any insulation will be wet and will remain so, even after the leak point is IDd and plugged.
I had mould and rot from mine.

Sorry for the late update guys. We just came back from our first 3 nights camping trip.
As mentioned I drove the unit back to our RV dealer and they looked at it right away. The dealer did some tests on the roof with water and there was not water leak at all. The marks turned out to be some dirty powders and they were wiped clean with water. They suspected that it was a dirty ceiling board when it was installed and Quality Control did not pay attention to the details. The ceiling board material is either PVC or Plastic.

Also we had a lot of rain last week and there was no sign of any leakage at all.
We are happy.

Water Leak

Great News!
But as you have seen here, it will pay to always keep an eye open for water entering anywhere.
Happy camping.
