So going by that calculation. My 1939 would have actually been 36th built so mine may have been the first Electra built! That sounds exciting. I would love to hear what you find out from Brian!!

I don't believe that FR built them in the WF first then Electra order. I know there are WFers with higher serial numbers than your Electra. It would be cool to learn more so Carol cjearle if you're out there, do you have Brian from Forest Rivers email? We would like to see if he can share any Aviator project history or other facts that might be of interest to our owner's group.

Just from what I was told. First I had heard of them and first pics I've seen and I think it a cool looking rig. Yes they are keeping our Aviator till possibly November. Mostly because the Paint guy can not get to it until October. And the Dealer caused problems needed more time than the Rally could handle. Majority of our problems were Dealer caused. But the Paint was a manufacture issue.d We truly love our Aviator! The Raly was so much fun.

Brian Moran is a genius. He could give you every thing you want to know about it. It was his Baby. He was so glad to see the Aviator at the rally. Susan Thornburg can also give you a lot insight on the Aviator.

Bought my aviator wright flyer 8-26-15

Hi,

I love my new Aviator Wright Flyer. I drove all the way to Byron, Georgia, from Austin, Texas, to pick it up.

Are there any other Aviator owners near Central Texas?

Want to start an Aviator Club?

Thank y'all.

Welcome to the forum! I knew it wouldn't last long at that price. Please post the last four digits of your serial number and get yourself added to our owner group!

Aviator Wright Flyer

I can't believe it sat there as long as it did. I guess no one knew it was available. I gave serious consideration to buying it and converting to full solar and flipping it just so I could do another solar project. DW said enough is enough as she doesn't see me all day as it is. Every day, I'm doing some mod or just sitting in it with the A/C running and reading the snoozpaper. It makes me feel all fuzzy inside.

I am in mine right now enjoying the cool lake Superior breeze! Beautiful full moon over the water this evening. Northern lights the night before last. Spent a few hours today removing all the baggage and hood latches and repainting the black for a nice shiny look.

Go ahead, rub it in! Mine is in my storage lot waiting patiently for Sept 20 to roll around so it can follow me to Uchee CG on FT Benning GA for one of my military reunions. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas!
Then its two weeks at Mistletoe State Park on Lake Thurmon near Augusta GA. I could easily forget where home is....

I have to go back to reality soon so don't feel too bad! It sounds like you've got some fun trips coming up. I hear you about forgetting when home is. The lack of responsibility is something I could get use to. Repainting the baggage latches is something I probably would never get to at home. You know, bills to pay, lawns to mow, stuff to fix...

You have 11 years to figure it out!! Sorry, just had to say that. I've been retired since 2003 and the HD list just keeps growing.
NEVER let a DW know what you are capable of doing as they will always expect it of you. Act dumb and ask lots of questions. Works for me! I'm a retired commercial pilot and my wife thinks I'm Mister Wizzard fix it all guy.

Well it is way too late for us now! I've been married 23 years and you probably longer. Our wives already know we are handy. Your best defense now is the tried and true "I didn't hear you" ploy. It works for both kids and old guys!

Steve, Looks like you have two fellow Texans on the owner's list. You can try to PM them if you want to find out where.

Welcome to the Aviator family, Steve. There is a wealth of info on your Flyer here on this forum. Between the group of us, we can help you with most any problem or modification that you might experience. Most of us have "been there and done that" at one time or another, so it isn't like we would be guessing.
I do hope several of us can get together somewhere down the road at a rally or CG. It would be awesome to have 5 or more Aviators parked next to each other. That would really get attention!
I go to my unit almost every day as it is also my hobby. Although I am running out of "projects", I seem to find something to do each time. I get many ideas from the other owners here on the forum. It just keeps getting better.
