Table up or down while towing

The dining room table is heavy.

I put it down but was still worried about it shifting in transit. I saw some talk of what they do.

This is what I have found to work the best. The strap in the dinette cushions hold it pretty well. And I do put the cushion between window and feet when towing. But I am worried that with time the strap will give way.

Would like to find a more permanent solution.

Ours rides in the down position, has Velcro to help it stay there, and our outside table a 2 zero gravity chairs on top to help.

Down and strapped snugly up against the dinette. From the look of it I would be really concerned about popping a leg through the window. The cushions "might" compress enough if you hit a foreign object or pothole in the road.

I know we learned the hard way to fold the table down to level with the seat cushions and causes no damage while towing.(as if you were making it to sleep on)

Down on the floor for sure. You should have some straps with velcro or buckles that will hold it in place. These may be hidden inside a storage compartment under one or two of your seats.

As for being in the eating or sleeping position I would see what your manual says. We travel with ours up but on the floor and strapped in place and it does not move.

We put ours down with the cushions in place then I put the flat screen tv on top with TV stand jammed between the cushions to hold it in place.

Haven't tried the table strap yet but I should give it a try.

Flat screen tv, I kept the box it came in and added Velcro to the cardboard flaps and it fits nicely under the bed while towing!

Are we talking about the Electra or Wright Flyer models of the Aviator? I have the Flyer and the table goes straight up and down, but no folding over if I'm understanding the situation. I do have it down while traveling.

I have an Electra... The strap is what I am using to snug it down. I don't like it up where it is but I can't seem to find another way. Dropping it down to the floor would be great except it can still move around. Slam into the cabinets. Maybe there is something I am missing.
