2015 25DS Ignition issue?

Hi all, I have a 2015 FR3 25DS with just over 10k miles. I sent my husband out to storage lot to check on RV. Story as he relayed to me: key in ignition, turned to start, engine started, let go and engine turned off, would not stay on. He said if he held in start position it stays on, obviously that is not the long term solution.

When I google the symptoms, this seems to be an issue for older vehicles, not a vehicle with only 10k miles?
Any idea of the problem? Fix? Is this a mechanic necessary item?

I just had the furnace motor replaced and that cost almost $1k so if I can fix myself, I'll learn.
Thank you!

I had to have the ignition switch replaced on my old truck. It cost about $300 back in 07.

I didn't try to make the repair, after talking to a friend that did his said it was a real bear of a repair. (LOTS of wires)

UPDATE ...

There is nothing wrong with the ignition (woohoo-yippee, party time).

Note to self: when you send significant other to check on RV, REMIND him that in order to start the engine (and it continue to run), he needs to raise the front shade (built in security feature).

My husband was there for the walk through-explanations but apparently 4 years and using the RV in that time is too much for him to remember. Luckily, I went out and checked on it for myself before hiring a tow to the truck repair shop.

Thank you for the update.

I am glad it was a simple fix.
