2016 FR3 32DS underbelly heated?

Does anyone know if the underbelly area where the pipes are is supposed to be heated by the furnace? I put a thermometer in my water bay and it appears to only be staying about 5 degrees above the outside temps even with the furnace running periodically.

The FR3 30 DS comes with a frost proof kit that heats the under side of the on board water tank. There is a switch on the panel that controls it

On the30Ds the area is insulated and co located with the hot water heater that also provides some heat .. this is the bay where the water heater bypass valves are located and at delivery came with a black panel with a round access screw on port many of us removed the black panel to have easier access to that bin. Depending on the cold, I would not entirely trust this feature especially because on my coach you can see daylight throu b to the water bay from the aforementioned panel when the water bay is open. In cases where I was camping and it snowed unexpectedly I have added a 60 watt bulb in a metal holder in that bin to further increase the heat. CW also sells a heated water hose for about $100 that can ensure your incoming water hose does not freeze.

So no the 'pipes' are not heated.

Thanks for the info. I have read online that some coaches have a vent from the furnace that vents in a little heat to the basement area. That's specifically what I was inquiring about. I do have heated tanks. But that doesn't do anything to keep the pipes from freezing. I was hoping the furnace would pump some hot air into that area. Sounds like it doesn't.

The only pipes that are heated are near the black/grey valves. You'll see some heat wraps on the pipes. We haven't had any issues down to single digits last xmas in Arizona. Just leave your water heater, turn on the heated tanks switch on your panel, and let that furnance run. Don't use electric heaters to supplement you propane furnace since that'll prevent that furnace from cycling as often as it should. The RV needs that hot air going through the ducts to supply some radiant heat in the under belly to prevent freezing. Make sure you close off any feedthrus. We would fill up the water tank and stow away the hose. We'll run some electric heaters on any nights above 32F to save a little propane.
