2022 F53 loss of ABS, Traction Control. and Cruise Control

Update: Here's my story....2022 FR3, 2021 V8 F 53 chassis. My symptoms were: #1. rough roads and rumble strips would cause the cruise control (CC), traction control (TC) and antilock brake system (ABS) to disengage....but....they would all reengage by themselves once I got off the bumps. #2. Going above 73 MPH would cause CC, TC, ABS and Hill Assist to disengage regardless of road surface, and could only be reset by turning ignition off then back on. Could cruise all day at 70 MPH.

Took rig to Gator Ford outside of Tampa, FL and they read the codes and replaced right rear ABS sensor....no help....then they replaced right rear tone ring.....BINGO !!! Drove home with CC set at 76 MPH (70 mile trip) without a problem. I am confident they fixed the problem as I could "make it" happen previously by running above 73 MPH without fail.

Conclusion: There are several ways (all wheels have ABS sensors, tone rings, wiring, etc) so my fix may not apply to every F 53 chassis

That makes sense to me. When Ford did the recall work on my rear bearings, they damaged one or more of the existing tone rings (apparently, they are quite fragile). I would drive several miles and then ABS, traction-control, and hill-start warning lights would pop on.

It took months (and some legal pressure) to get replacement tone rings. I'm really glad to hear that you were able to get yours so quickly!

Thanks Cliff, I was skeptical after reading the 12 pages on irv2.com on this problem and all it's variants, and was pleasantly surprised how seamless the fix was at Gator Ford. The service advisor told me this was the first f 53 they have seen with this problem, but they did have a f 350 that they couldn't fix !!! They also found codes that indicated misfires (I heard spark knock infrequently) and changed out all the plug wires per a Ford Tech Bulletin. They also checked the bolts on the rear sway bar per a Ford recall, which I was aware of but did not realize there was a recall. All-in-all I'm happy with my 34ds and crazy happy to find a good Ford service dealership.

Forest,
Once we got all the kinks worked out with the chassis and the house, ours has treated us well. We spent 6 weeks along the NorCal/OR coast this summer along with our two dogs. The layout and the storage couldn't be beat!

I'm having the same issue with my 2022 F53. I was following another Thread which recommended getting a Code Reader and having the codes ahead of my dropping off to the dealer but I can't find it now. Can anybody point me to it?
Thanks in advance
Bill

The code reader plug on my FR3 is just above the top left corner of the “dog house” interior engine cover. It has a snap cover on it with OBD stamped on it.
