I have heard good things about the KOA. Others will mention others as well.

Bar Harbor is amazing. You are going to love it.

Vin.

Stayed here last summer was there the week before their "season" started, but after the black flies, it was cash only and no reservations. I liked it though. The National park is great. The town Bar Harbor is okay reminded me of northern Key West FL. Went on 4 masted sail boat. And went on a cat to see whales saw 3 kinds. Both were costly but worth it. The lobster in bar harbor are way over priced but small places along road are reasonable priced and probably better. Don't know how young or fit you are but the best is mountain biking on the carriage trails in the national park. If you are not so fit they have horse drawn carriages. Some of the trails are steep some are not as bad. The trails are wide and smooth a beach cruiser type bike might work if it has low gears. The trails are crushed rocks not paved so not sure id try a ten speed unless it had Kevlar tires. Cadillac mountain is a must, but take a car for that one sun set from there is unreal.
