Anyone know where the Microwave fuse is?

2015 FR3 DS30

Microwave won't turn one when plugged in or the generator is on. Plug right next to it works great.
TV turns on and everything.

Perhaps the circuit breaker on the panel is tripped. Does the outlet have power?

Yes, outlet has power. Tried the circuit breaker first.

microwave is 120 volt ac. it will have a circuit breaker, not a fuse.

Checked the main circut breaker but didn't see a label for "Microwave". Still flipped them all and nothing changed. But that's good to know it's not a fuse.

I expect the microwave is on its own circuit breaker.

... although some microwaves have a small internal fuse.

some others have reported problems with the microwave. seems some units have a switch that allows a fireplace and microwave to share (either/or, not both) a common circuit breaker. don't know if this applies to you or not.

Microwave

Hello, were you using it when it stopped working? I had that happen to me once, and it took awhile for it to reset. I'm guessing mine had got too hot, and a thermal fuse inside the unit tripped.

If the outlet has power, as you indicated in post #3, then the problem is internal to the microwave. As indicated above they often do have an internal fuse. You will have to open the microwave to find it.

Try resetting the ground fault receptacle in the bathroom.

Sometimes, you could trip the GFI breaker if you use too many appliances on the AC outlets. If that happens, none of your AC outlets will work til you reset the breaker. Or what Hogg said

The OP said in post #3 that the outlet has power. Suggestions to get power to the outlet are most likely not useful.

Treat Like any other 120Volt appliance.

Most often the microwave is plugged into a dedicated outlet.....find it.

Then plug a 120 volt light into the outlet to check it. Then plug the microwave into an extension cord from a known good outlet.

How much power does a microwave need? See this:

If, as it sounds like it does, the plug has power that the microwave is plugged into, then look for a internal fuse that is located IN the back of the microwave.

Look for a diagram for the model of the microwave and that should show you where the fuse is. You will have to put in the very same fuse as that is in the microwave. Do you know how to test the fuse in the microwave to see if it is bad?

Unplug the microwave when working on it.....

I think that all microwaves have an internal fuse of some type.

I do, too... but over the last 2-3 years, I've become less definitive because someone generally says "well, what you just said ain't true about mine."
