Bad smell

Hello! I purchased a 2018 FR3 and the bathroom has a bad smell. What can I do? Thanks for your answer

You first need to isolate it.

Does it smell like feces, decaying animal or other?
Is it coming from the toilet, a vent, a drain, a valve or other?

It would help to know where it is coming from as mentioned.

Buuutttttttt Being the bathroom, chances are.

Get some black tank chemicals from your favorite Walmart or where ever and pour in a double dose and see if you problem gets better or is gone.

First question that comes to my mind is "is your toilet bowl all plastic?"

If so it could well be the "Dometic 300 toilet Urine Depository" that is collecting urine and fermenting.

If a porcelain bowl then check the vents that go through the roof and vent the holding tanks.

Are the floor and walls around the toilet clean, as well as outside of the toilet? Any "misses" add up and eventually make the bathroom smell more like a Porta-Potty".

We have a 2018 FR3 29DS and last fall, while camping, we started noticing a bad smell. After returning home, I climbed on the roof, removed the black tank vent cap, and ran a sewer snake down the vent till it stopped, and marked the snake at the top of the vent. Pulled it out and realized the length from the end of the snake to the mark was not enough to reach the bottom of the tank. I reinserted the snake and started working it up and down till I felt something break loose and the snake went down a considerable amount more. Evidently, something had blocked the vent, and I had broken it loose. Not sure what it was but this eliminated the smell and haven't had problem since.

Yep. Plumbing 101. Gotta have a vent.

Use more water!

We dump a half a cup of borax stuff and an equal amount of Dawn liquid soap after we dump the tank.

We use Scott rv toilet paper.

Does sort of make me wonder if your vent is installed goofy.

OP, you need to check for the conditions mentioned here. There are many complaints about the smell from a Dometic 300 toilet.
