Battery tray for additional batteries

Hi friends! Some of you may remember we had an issue with the converter not being plugged in while we were in Newfoundland. Well, the time has come to replace those damaged batteries now that we are back stateside and we would like to use 4 deep cycle 6v... the problem is where to house the extra two batteries.

What housing tray have you used? How did you attach it? What’s working for everyone?

We have a 2015 FR3 30DS and could use the help. Thank you in advance everyone!

Here is the tray that we fab'd up and installed. There just happen'ed to be 2 holes in the frame on the RH side that used, and one wire loom hole on the LH side. So I only needed to drill out 3 additional 3/8" holes in the frame. For batteries, I'm just using the Group 31 AGMs Duracells from Sams Club. Material cost was about $25 or so. I couldn't find any other option out there.

Also, I received a mailer from Sams Club that till December 25th, Duracell AGMs are $25 off each, limit 6. Awesome deal IMO at $155.

Yes. I bought the angle iron stock from a local surplus shop, used a metal chop saw to cut up the pieces to size. Then took the pieces over to a friends house to help weld it up. I'd think if you can find a local weld shop to have it welded up and it shouldn't cost too much (<$100). I think it took about 30 mins to get setup/weld everything. Its rock solid bolted to the frame.
