Bedroom TV mounting screws

One more thing to check. Our bedroom TV is mounted on a swing-up frame that allows you to store stuff behind it. I recently swung ours up and one of the four mounting screws fell out onto the floor. After I replaced it, I checked the other three and they all needed to be tightened.

Thank you for the heads up.

For the first year after we got our current Jayco, every 500 miles we would go around and hand tighten every single screw in the coach we could get our hands on. Every time, we found at least a couple that could use a little help.

This was done gently by hand, initially using minimal torque to see if the screw needed help. Don't even think of doing this with an electric drill/driver, even a weak one or one set to minimum torque. Hand tighten only. The initial checking should be done with the screwdriver held lightly in fingertips.

Regards.

I also check for loose screws anywhere I can reach, I only use a hand screwdriver to tighten them back up. However, before I tighten them up I always dab on a little Elmers wood glue or even fingernail polish to help keep them from backing out. The glue or polish never stopped me from removing the treated screws when needed.
