Bike Rack recommendations

We are wanting to get a bicycle rack that holds 2 bicycles to attach to our 2015 FR3 30DS. Any input such as brands to purchase, brands to stay away from, features, etc... would be greatly appreciated.

We use a Kuat Transfer 2-bike rack on a 2" hitch mounted on the front of my F-250. Works great.

I definitely recommend a platform style rack rather than ones where the bikes hang from the top frame crossmember.

I'm sorry to disagree with itat, but I'm going to recommend the opposite style rack.

We first had this 'platform' style rack:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

But, because the rack protruded so far from the back of the coach, it got beat up by dragging on the pavement when we would pull out of a steep driveway (such as at a gas station).

So we got this 'hanging' style rack:
https://www.amazon.com/Saris-Bones-2.../dp/B01B3KI5WU
Since the rack doesn't protrude very far before rising up high, it never drags on the pavement. We are happy with the design and the quality.

I use a ladder mount bike rack on my FR3 30DS. Very often one bike and sometimes two. I've used this solution for 19 years on two different motorhomes. Just search for "ladder mount bike rack" for options.

I tow a car most of the time so the 2" receiver mount bike racks are only a solution if the rack then has another 2" receiver at the back for whatever you are towing. Possible to do that but not very practical. Depending on what you might tow, you could use the toad's 2" receiver if it has one.

I agree that the platform rack you linked to isn’t ideal for putting on the back. It has a straight bar out of the receiver. On the Kuat rack I recommended, and most better platform style racks, the bar that goes into the receiver curves up and the platform is at least 6” higher, giving you more clearance.

Swagman XC Cross-Country 2-Bike Hitch Mount Rack (1/1/4 and 2-Inch Receiver)

Amazon sells it for about $120.00

Good luck and happy travels.

I had the thul that hung the bikes at the cross bar...

I’ve also have the one where the tires sit on the bracket.

The tires sitting is my favorite

We are wanting to get a 3 bike rack (ours and grandson) for our 2850 Sunseeker. Ladder in the back right with large door opening to storage. Any suggestions?
