Question Can't seem to remove dinette table

I know I'm gonna sound stupid here, but how do you remove the dinette table in order to convert to a bed?

I've always assumed the the table top just lifts off the legs, and then the legs lift out of the floor mounts. But I just tried for the first time, and I can't get it off! I can rock it side-to-side an inch or so, but it doesn't come loose when I pull straight up.
I should point out that I'm 6'2" and reasonably strong. Do I need to whack it from below with a sledge hammer to break it loose?

Thanks!

When our rig was new, both pedestals were "locked in" as well. Didn't want to pound on the bottom of the table top, so I used a rubber strap wrench to rotate both tubes one complete turn each. After that, the table top popped right off. After that I sprayed a light coat of WD40 Dry Lube with PTFE at the bottoms and tops of both pedestals. The table top now pops right off with minimal effort.

Thumbs up

Thank you for the tip. Guess I'll need to buy a strap wrench!

On my 2019 33DS , there is no twist and lock it is a friction fit. The ends are crimped in a sort of cone that fits into the base at the bottom and the table top. Can you get your table up in between the driver and passenger seats?
Rubber Mallet - sit down - and tap first at the front and then the back while gently pulling up.
The table top (square) might be too small for the opening (mine is a trapezoid wider towards the sink) between the seats. They added trim wood to mine so that the table top didn't fall in. We don't use that bed.

I replaced the Dinette table legs with Sequoia™ III Table Legs. I was able to purchase local for less than Amazon but included link to clarify.

Amazon: 27'' Sequoia Table Leg

We sometimes travel with our adult son and my DW did not like stepping on the old table base when she sits in the back. She likes to go barefoot in the RV.

We have used the legs since Spring of 2018. My wife was amazed how stable the legs made the table.

See post FR3 Pictures of Mods #323.
