"Check Tuner" Sirius/XM Radio

I was going to get Sirius/XM on my new coach (2021 32DS), but got the "check tuner" message (Sony AX8000). I understand the message after Googling and looking through the forum, but am not sure if I need to purchase something in order to get connected or if there is something (in error) disconnected from the factory. The manual for the receiver makes it sound like I should not need to purchase something sepraretly. Does anyone know?

Honestly I have SirusXM App on my phone and Bluetooth it to a speaker I bypassed the "radio" all together.

Doesn't answer your question but may be a cheaper way to go... and more convenient

Pretty sure it’s only “XM ready” and you need the SiriusXM SXV300 tuner.

Sirus Tuner

Just bought my tuner at Best Buy - $50. Took 10 min to install. Very easy.

Does the antenna(?) portion of this have to go up on the dash or windshield then?

Yes - I just placed mine on dash as close to the glass as I could get.

Has anybody added the Sirius module to their Ford e450 chassis that has the Sony 10 inch head unit? How did you get to the back of the unit to plug it in?

The whole front panel (black part) is clipped on....just need to be brave and tug it off. I found it easier to start at the bottom by the emergency brake release....

Here's a link that I followed....

You have the new style dash? I haven’t seen any step by step for removing one yet and I don’t know how similar it is to removing the old style.
I would check with Crutchfield to see if they have any instructions yet and maybe search some Ford truck forums. I did a quick search but didn’t find anything.
Other than that maybe try to start unclipping it with some dash tools and see where you get hung up?
