Plastic does not seem as strong, some seem to give a bit. Had an office trailer at construction site, two women that worked me for threatened to quit over cheap plastic seats. Too cold to the tush! Had plumber change out to wood. Happy ladies. Outside temp was in low 20s and bathrooms did seem to be much warmer.

We installed the 320. It is tight-up against the wall. It does not take up anymore room.

We love it.

1> Model 300 has a cold plastic seat.
Toilet seat on Models 300 & 310: Polypropylene.
Toilet seat on Models 320: Enameled Wood
2> Model 300 has a single 3-jet water sprayer in the back.
The 320 & 310 toilets have many jets around the rim.
3> Main reason, if we are going to spend weeks in the FR3, we want to feel at home.

The 320 toilet is almost like the home toilet. My wife used both toilets and is glad we upgraded to the 320 toilet. (I like it also. )

We spent two night more nights in the FR3 this weekend. I learned how to use the black-tank flush with a 5" clear sewer hose adapter. This was my first motor-home with a black-tank flush.

We are getting ready to replace 300 with 320. It sure as heck smells like the seals have gone bad on the 300 anyway. Question, do these toilets need a wax ring like a residential toilet?

No wax ring.

It uses a rubber gasket.

Easy swap, I did ours.

Did the toilet come with the gasket or did you have to purchase it separately?

It came with the rubber gasket.

Great upgrade.

No more noisey seat and it feels like home.

I upgraded to the Domestic 320 two months ago on our 2016 30DS. What a improvement that I would highly recommended and easy to install.

We used the new 320 toilet until we winterized our FR3. We still love it.

Next improvement is more Batteries and a Power Inverter.

Little bit of overkill for a toilet paper holder, but I like how you can position the roll right where you want it.

I put pieces of split fuel line on the ribs under the seat after our first trip. It does make it quieter but I loose one occasionally.

To answer the question of why- it is cleaner- does not hold onto odors- can use a regular toilet seat for comfort- does not rock- looks better.
I have done several and found the easiest way to take out old toilet is with my Sawzall. I simply cut it in half, the bolts are then easy to reach.

Converting to porcelain toilet

New toliet is in. I have never been more excited about a toilet. Our bathroom reeked like piss no matter how much we cleaned and when removing the plastic toilet, I found it had piss in the back where there is an opening and a cavity. My disabled son’s aim is not the best, mystery solved, no more opening and cavity either. Win-win.
