Dash A/C

So I picked up a new 2020 32ds yesterday and the dash a/c doesn’t work. Going through the check List. The a/c main relay seems to activists appropriately, the fuses for a/c under the hood seem good and the a/c fuse under the bed seems fine. The ford manual seems to imply at least 2 more fuse boxes which I haven’t located yet. The RV dealer wasn’t helpful and are trying to get me into the commercial ford dealership whom isn’t answering the phone. So in the mean time a few questions.


Where are the remaining fuse boxes.

And any known easy fixes to ford a/c issues?

You said "new". If its new, take that sucker back to the dealer and make them repair it.

Many times the chassis AC is low on refrigerant from sitting in the yard. If the you can hear the clutch kick in when you turn it on, that's most likely the cause. Also, when really hot out, it takes a while before it starts to move cool air. Try pressing the "recirculate" button. This will pull cooler air from inside rather than the air from the engine compartment.

Since its a "new" modle, there SHOULD be a warranty.



Get on the phone with FR service and warranty, IF there is one.

Already done. But was hoping to find something easy as I was hoping to head out tonight or tomorrow am.

It was over 100 degrees, it’s not uncommon that it trucks don’t cool well at idle here, so didn’t think much of it until it wasn’t cooling until almost home.

On the road finally. A/c compressor was “unplugged”. Temp is much improved however will be pulling out the temp gauges to check, still not quite as cool as I’d expect.

On the highway if all is close to working properly. 10-15 miles. High blow max cool(recirculate) it should blow 35-45 deg air.

Windows up...of course.

Had the same problem, it ended up being a faulty dash switch.

I had same issue. Ac compressor under hood wasnt plugged in. Plugged in connector, all was good.

The not cool enough is what I believe will make me go back to a class C. That green house we drive in can get brutal.
